ADAMS - A local man was killed and another seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a snowmobile accident off Fisk Road, police said.

Adams police received a report of the accident at 12:19 p.m.. On the scene, police officers and an Adams Ambulance crew found two injured men, Michael J. Bresett, 42, and Ryan Ziemelak, 22.

Both were taken by ambulance to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, where Bresett, of Town View Lane, was pronounced dead.

Ziemelak, of Richmond Street, was admitted with injuries and was listed in serious condition Saturday night.

Authorities released little information as Adams police and Massachusetts Environmental Police are still investigating.

It was the second snowmobile fatality in Berkshire County this year. Rosanna Neri, 39, of Glastonbury, Conn., died after crashing her sled on Rockwell Road in Williamstown on Jan. 31.
